GTT Ethernet Supports Telemedicine Network

GTT was selected by a top Washington, D.C. health-provider to design and manage a Metro Ethernet solution that supports the provider’s Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) across seven radiology clinics in the metro DC area. PACS is a digital imaging film archive computer system which enables physicians to view, store and transmit patients’ diagnostic information and test results over a secure private network. GTT looked at several alternatives before recommending a metro Ethernet based solution that gave the customer the scalability, reliability and bandwidth it required.
