Global Telecom & Technology Enters Strategic Agreement With VTLWaveNet To Provide Fiber Solutions Across Europe
MCLEAN, Va., June 25, 2008 – Global Telecom & Technology, Inc. (“GTT”), (OTCBB: GTLT), a leading global Multi-Network Operator, announced today that it has entered a strategic agreement with VTLWaveNet to provide high-capacity bandwidth solutions in numerous European markets, including recent network expansion into Switzerland, Belgium, and France.
This agreement enables GTT to provide high-capacity connectivity across Europe and into the United States, including wavelengths, dark fiber, and co-location services. In support of its recent network build out, VTLWaveNet is also actively promoting its Ethernet services between Europe’s major Internet exchanges. VTLWaveNet’s diverse network uses redundant high-capacity paths into the United Kingdom, avoiding the traditional routes to London via the Channel Tunnel.
The partnership also allows VTLWaveNet to expand their network reach to leverage GTT’s global footprint to locations outside of their existing territories. With more than 800 supplier relationships globally, GTT can offer VTLWaveNet customers a wide range of WAN solutions and services around the world.
“The agreement further highlights the value proposition of our Multi-Network Operator strategy,” said Richard D. Calder, Jr., GTT’s president and CEO. “GTT is uniquely positioned to provide our customers with multi-carrier bandwidth solutions with no predisposition to any one supplier or technology. Adding VTLWaveNet’s high-capacity pan-European footprint to GTT’s global supplier base significantly enhances our multi-network operator strategy.”
